When Huxley was a young man he developed serious eye trouble which made him nearly blind. Brave New World is his most enduring work followed by Eyeless in Gaza. He moved with his friend Gerald Heard to California in search of a new direction. He became interested in mysticism and parapsychology. The Doors of Perception and Heaven and Hell describe his experiments with mescalin and LSD. His cynicism and satire underline most of his works. Ink drawing 8" X 10" unframed Price: $500 |
