The Arteaga Family
the Arteaga family lived on the other side of the main road
into town. Mrs. Arteaga, mother of ten children, was a weaver
and also sold tacos in the plaza. The youngest daughter, Carolina,
was born with one leg shorter than the other. She had surgery in
Children's Hospital in Mexico City, and spent a year in a body cast.
