Cleaning the Gun
LCTs had two 20mm cannons mounted over the living quarters on both sides of the boat. The shells were about 7 1/2 inches long and were put into a magazine or drum which held thirty shells. It was very important to keep the guns well oiled and the magazines wound tight when ready for use.
